Viewing single post of blog Memory at work in my process

I have a my *micro projects* that has begun to blow up into …what?! The curator, A.F., for the exhibit at MUBE in Sao Paulo, Brazil informed me that she is an architect and not a museum curator. Somehow she planned and developed and sent out invitations, wanting 500 artists to participate in the project to receive a toy kit to embellish and return. The first glitch was when fewer than 500 artists committed to the project. Then the musuem was to mail out the kits and only half were mailed. (A.F. discovered the unmailed kits and then sent out apologies). The remainder mailed late and many artists in distant lands waited months to receive their kit. I received mine in November and put some time into it daily pushing to get it finished and mailed to Brazil. Informing her I had.

She wanted a pic of my toy for the project blog. OK, I emailed the photo to the email address she provided. Weeks later I checked the blog and my name is not there. I ask her why. No explanation, only that she never received the image via email. So I check my sent email (hassel, waste of time) and yes here it is, I sent the image Nov 26th. Back and forth to find a typo in the email address she had asked me to send it to.

If I had mistyped my own email address and sent it to someone, I would have apologized and got on with it. Instead I am receiving a very odd response from A.F.

I emailed a painter friend of mine in Sao Paulo Brazil who is an excellent artist and has had many exhibits in galleries and museums there. He relied that of all his many shows there, there has been *100% argument and fighting*. Which is sad to hear, and though he seemed to think that was part of his local culture, I doubt that it is unique to Brazli! But I am having a hard time understand what the problem is for this little microproject. My paniter friend replied that he will speak to A.F. and clarify if my name will be added to the list on the project blog once my finished toy, that I mailed several days ago, arrives, or what?

*fun micro project* becomes snafu.

I asked my painter friend if perhaps he would like to talk about this issue further–not my micro project issue–but the issue of discord between exhibit organizers and artists. That perhaps I could write an article on this for other sites.

No need to use names or point fingers, but to help create more understanding.
