Game on! ( I think thats what the more competitive sportives say) Yesterday I completed the commission painting ready for christmas (though I think I will have to pucker-up and blow on it for a while to help it dry!)

However I am still unable to stop-not even for the imminent seasonal festivities, they will have to fit in with my schedule for the exhibition in May. I don't really want to anyway. So today I began two canvases which I have been aching to start since taking on this last commission. And anyway I am not given to wallowing in my own self satisfaction/appreciation for having done a stirling job for them (unless, of course, I am speaking to Velta)

Working on more than one canvas actually rests one conveyer belt batch of cognitive processes and initiates another when change to the new second one. My mind works well in this way and somehow the images are converged, divided and selected appropriately.

I feel excitement about this work and the ideas just keep formulating. Although my usual preferred medium is oils I think I will probably try mixed media or the lovely interactive acrylics on one of my pieces too.

Also the materials for my 'sculpture' are being collated as we speak. I have a choice too, so all is well.

Must remember to wish you all a very Happy Christmas in case I don't get back to you till the New year. (I suspect I will though.)
