The ‘Pariah Temperament’ (Alethea Hayter) has started the basis for recent printwork and book design projects. A now part-time MA student studying Art, Design & the Book currently deciphering what Action Research means to artists and in terms of my own practice. Primarily an abstract painter with a surrealist heart I see myself as a conduit of ethos. I find work morphing frequently.
Text and sound, putting the two together it seems logical. To read aloud, to sing and hear the echo of existence, recentley inspired by early 90’s nostalgia the likes of Suede, Brett Anderson lyrics repeat on me in the morning running down the stairs to the coffee machine, I love always to breakfast well also the way two like minded could joke all day in Jarvis Cocker lyricy. Research into the romantic era of literature has been tinkering with the receptors. Guilty pleasures.. I can’t without dropping where I am exactly…what it is to express, knowing is in the action.
