I have just tried an old suit on. I had bought it for a performance/lecture at Firstsite, Colchester many years ago. I was explaining to the audience my arts council application (rejected) to slaughter excess artists, it was hot, the suit was woollen, and I could feel a steady trickle from my armpits. I’m not fond of spotlights, real or figurative, but I seem to get myself into these situations. There is another screening of one of my newish films coming soon. This one is in London and unlike Iceland I don’t really have an excuse not to attend. At least it will be dark and no one will see me.
