I am passionate about colour, pattern and texture and love to create and see designs all around me. There are not enough hours in the day to make all the ideas I have. Originally trained as a textile/surface pattern designer and then as a graphic designer I like to work in a variety of media – painting, drawing, sewing (always chopping things up and changing things), wet felting, in fact whatever I feel is necessary to create the effect I want to achieve. I’m also a bit manic about reusing and repurposing items and driving people mad with ‘don’t throw that away you could use it for this or that’ My work is varied so I hope you enjoy the small selection I have to show you.

Sandy Flores @ Florydesign

Sandy loves to create, working in a variety of media, often combining – painting, drawing, collage, sewing (always chopping things up and changing things), wet and needle felting, using whatever is necessary to create the effect she wants to achieve. She is also a bit manic about reusing and repurposing items. Originally she trained as Surface Pattern Designer working freelance on wallpaper designs, wrapping papers, greeting cards and fabric designs. After a short time living in the USA, she returned to her home county of Somerset and re-trained as a Graphic Designer an area she has worked in for the last 25+ years.
