Capturing Essence, Evoking Emotion. A Passion for Art, Nature and Form. I’m an artist passionate about capturing the depth of human emotion and the beauty of nature. My background in IT, management, and volunteering with mental health, social, and environmental organisations has shaped my approach to art. In late 2020, I took the leap into full-time artistry, drawing on a diverse career that enriches my work. I see art as more than just an observational medium—it's a tool for self-challenge and sharpening perception. My portfolio includes portraits, landscapes, and abstracts, with a consistent goal of capturing the essence and spirit of my subjects. At heart, I’m a colourist, and yes, I do wear ‘rose-tinted spectacles.’ They help with my dyslexia, though perhaps not always with the stereotypical optimism they suggest. My aim is to create art that invites viewers to engage deeply, exploring the underlying emotions and messages.
