Backlit Gallery

Backlit Gallery brings together work from the creators of 1976’s opera Einstein on the Beach, for the first time in the UK. An exhibition of stage designs, theatrical set pieces and music from the original performance featuring work by Robert Wilson, Lucinda Childs, Philip Glass, Christopher Knowles and Andy De Groat, open Thursday – Sunday 12-5pm, closes Sunday 17th May. Free Entrance.

The exhibition is supported by Nottingham’s Dance4, Dissident Industries Inc. New York, Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris and New York’s Paula Cooper Gallery.

Backlit Gallery will be open late until 10pm on Friday 15th May, as part of Museums of Night. A documentary about the opera will be shown. Free entrance.
