Hi Make me a paper boat! Find your sea legs, then go to the blog to find out more! Lynn Taylor (Dunedin , New Zealand) and Joanne B Kaar (Dunnet, Scotland) are working on a collaborative project based around the maiden journey of the ship Westland from Scotland to New Zealand in 1879 (130 years ago). An exhibition of their work is scheduled for September 2009 at Caithness Horizons and in conjunction with this a globally networked paper boats fundraiser is being activated to support Mary-Ann's cottage,a living history museum in Caithness Scotland which is run by volunteers. Mary-Ann's father, William Young was a member of the Westland crew.On the 30th January 2009, Joanne B Kaar will launch this paper boat project.
