Five Somerset artists will be exhibiting their work in Stoberry Park as part of Somerset Art Weeks and the NGS. Set in stunning gardens with magnificent views overlooking Wells Cathedral, across to Glastonbury Tor and beyond, Stoberry Park is a spectacular venue in its own right. Free-ranging sheep roam the lower acreage, which leads to large expanses of parkland, a lovely arboretum, large ponds and beautiful cultivated walled gardens near the main house. The venue will provide a dramatic backdrop for the five acclaimed 3-d artists – open to the public during Somerset Art Weeks (18 Sept – 2 Oct) and as part of the National Garden Scheme. Selected for their diversity and quality of work, the artists featured are: Ian Marlow ARBS (stainless steel sculptures) www.marlowsculpture.co.uk; Sonja Klingler (glass) www.sonjaklingler.com; Fiona Campbell (steel and wire sculptures) www.fionacampbellart.co.uk; Christine-Ann Richards (large garden ceramics) www.christineannrichards.co.uk; and Alex Relph (metal sculpture & furniture) www.alexrelph.co.uk. Collectively, they will be installing an exciting range of contemporary 3-d work throughout the gardens, to entice visitors to explore the Park.
