The tax office (Swedish) called while I was on my way to the supermarket. They needed to ask a couple of simple questions to approve my application to register my company. The first was to clarify the type of artistic […]
I’ve decided not to mess around with the Christmas baubles anymore! They’re driving me mad now! I messed one up completely and had to start that one all over again. And I realised they were all very orange, but couldn’t […]

Why is it that I feel an idea isn’t working until I can verbalise it? Is it because I’m doing this blasted MA (I love it really)? I’m sorry to be boring, but I’m still talking about the bloody lullaby, […]

Ann Kopka, 'Light Water 2', Acrylic on canvas. Inspired by Peter Ackroyd?s book ?Sacred River? and the fundamental truth that water is the universal life force essential to us all, our environment and the ecosystem which binds us together, The Light Water series evolved in response to photographic research conducted on the river near London?s Docklands, mingling together the shifting waters and reflections of the towering 21st century structures, the ancient and the modern, the fluid with the solid and the organic with the man-made.

Hours spent painting the Project Space to get it ready for the inaugral event this month. Stephanie seems particularly skilled at decorating and finding uses for pieces of ripped up newspaper. We decided on a stringent yellow for the newly […]
In the time between projects I try to catch up with films I haven’t seen, or books I haven’t read. I’d wanted to catch up with the films of Werner Herzog and saw on dvd his enigmatic Sahara mirage film […]
