From the a-n archive: On the cover, David Shrigley, June 2012

David Shrigley, whose work first featured in Artists Newsletter in November 1991 soon after he had graduated from Glasgow School of Art, was the cover artist for the final issue of a-n Magazine.

His works What The Hell Are You Doing? and Progress were a fitting way to celebrate a-n’s 30+ years of publishing a monthly magazine, and our then stated goal “to continue to do all the same good things for art and artists but just in new and different ways”.
