Anna Best is interested in expanding definitions of where art might take place, with and for whom and for how long, and the role of the artist within that. Work is concerned with making relationships between people and broadly, with notions of control and disintegration.

Projects include Phil with Lambeth Riverside as part of the Beaufoy Art Projects, Ice Cream Van Convention (research) as part of Art For Networks, touring 2002/3 The Festival of Lying with Grizedale, Cumbria with Karen Guthrie, Nina Pope and Simon Poulter (2000); Mecca at the State Bingo Hall with Camden Arts Centre (1999); The Wedding Project with Tate Modern (1998).
