Ashley Phillips spent the first ten years of his creative career as a mural artist. He painted giant murals all over the world for public and private commissions. His biggest mural to date was a 500m2 mural for Pirellli. In 2010, Ashley began experimenting with new surfaces, digital printing and laser cutting techniques and Glartique was born. Glartique transforms functional surfaces into art by printing Ashley's bespoke art onto various materials: glass, mirror and Corian as splashbacks. www.glartique.com Ashley did his first degree as a mature student at 28 and has a 1st BA (Hons) from Chelsea College of Art in Design & Public Art. He has also worked as a 3D computer animator, and worked on some published computer games. Ashley's new collection of artwork takes his iconic designs (some of them a little satirical) and prints them onto brushed aluminium; not printing the white so that the beauty of the brushed aluminium texture shines through as the reflections. These are available as limited edition prints on a variety of sizes. The original acrylic on brushed metal paintings are also available. Ashley is also an Associate Lecturer at Chelsea College of Arts and LCC. London
