Swedish-Icelandic Elínrós Henriksdóttir, 27, mainly explores creativity, sexuality, nonsense and metaphysics through the visual arts, writing and music. She also runs a site called www.contemporarytalks.com, which is  ”devoted to conduct interviews and conversations with a few chosen artists, whose work entices the mind to activate some unused neurons; filling gaps that the main cascade couldn’t cross.” and gets involved in curatorial projects etc.

Apart from exploring the visual language, research, communication, improvisation, humor and collaboration are the most fascinating aspects of the creative process.  The artist’s main source of inspiration has always been literature and painting series have earlier been based on existing works such as Dante’s Divina Commedia and Venus in Furs by Leopold Sacher-Masoch. With a love for communication, collaboration and literature, the artist decided to approach the art project Deconstructing Sex in a way which allowed for it all to be combined. A collection of biographical erotic short stories on the theme ‘My best orgasm’ was initiated in December 2011. The stories will add to the pool of information upon which the works will be created.
