ACE’s conclusions on what the meaning the Arts Debate has for them. Concludes that a system is needed that:
1) has real clarity of shared mission
2) prioritises innovation and public engagement as critical means of achieving that mission
3) is flexible enough in its funding to give different weight to different principles at different times
4) encompasses a wider range of voices in its decision-making processes
5) has appropriate forms of accountability that can vary according to the nature of its work.
