“The spillover effect” is the term given to a complex process where arts and culture generates value beyond its own production and audience. Spillover research in the arts is interested in both unintended and intentional impacts and effects and is a very new area of research. In 2016 four specific research studies were commissioned from Poland, Finland, Italy and the Netherlands, each testing methodologies for spillover research on a specific art or cultural project. For specialists, but interesting nonetheless.
