The ‘garden art’ 2011n series has started. 5 artists (1 farmer, a retired headmistress, a counsellor and a garden designer as well as myself – 3 unable to attend) met at Helwell Barton garden last Monday afternnon. It was blowing a gale so our art was restricted to points of view from doorways and transitional spaces around the farmyard. One lady disappeared to the area by the pond shielded by bamboos where the noise was deafening with the wind rustle factor. She came back looking relaxed and had worked on a composition including the bridge and all of the weeping willow branches cascang onto it ( horizontals and verticles).

We had Gunpowder tea and rhubarb cake form the garden when we broke for tea and then discussed the plans for the summer ahead. All looks good for a show either in November or early spring with the venue bing Kenton Vineyard.

This is such a great way to share art and open spaces around and abouts.
