As the Professional Practice module is all about how we promote ourselves as artists and preparing ourselves for life outside of university, I have decided to focus this blog on remaking my “art” instagram account.

The screenshot above shows how it currently looks, which, although okay, doesn’t promote myself or my practice as effectively as it otherwise could. The first stage of redesign, is to archive all of my posts on that account – leaving me with a blank canvas. I could delete the posts, however this account goes back a few years and is almost an archive of my work and practice up to now – so I am loathed to delete them. Archiving therefore, seemed the better course of action, as it will give me the ability to ‘un-archive’ or ‘repost’ the posts which I feel fit most effectively with my current practice, and which show my work in the most professional and, crucially, relevant, light possible.

After archiving the posts, I will then also remove my current profile picture, bio and story highlights – giving a completely clean slate from which to work from.
