It is exciting to see how my rock garden is growing… Six sculptures are ready and just a few more are on the way. Each rock is a journey: choosing rock, making cast, “reading” it’s form, creating visual lines, which stainless steel parts are following, rolling/bending metal, cutting rocks, inserting stainless steel and… finally seeing how materials working together and how thoughts become Things…

When lots of sketches are done and all preparation and modelling work is behind it is time for most exciting part – actual process of making sculptures. The process starts from working on shapes of metal (polished stainless steel) parts, which shapes should correspond and follow the forms of the rocks.
For all metal works I am going to Mike Smith Studio, where I used to work on my sculptural works for a few years now.
