Friday Salon: Artists and Participatory Practices on 1st March 2013 in ICA, London
Focusing on artists’ work who employ participatory strategies, this event will examine the challenges artists face in working within socially engaged art activities and the skills they consider essential to their practice. Topics include the self-reflexive roles of artists, issues of authorship and the political implications of working with ‘participants’, which will be discussed by Emma Smith and Barby Asante.
