The Black Path is an ancient route. It has been many things: the northern boundary of an Anglian Kingdom, a medieval sailor’s trod, and a convenient path to work for the steelworkers of Middlesbrough. It is a nominal, barely remembered place, home to rovers, fly-tippers, secret lovers and rough sleepers.
This exhibition is a response as varied as the Black Path’s uses. The artists featured, like the path itself, are outsiders.
An exhibition of art, painting, sculpture, poetry and sound including experimental electronic music by bands Ammonites and Warped Freqs.

The Black Path is showing at The House of Blah Blah gallery in Middlesbrough until 3rd March 2016.
