Found these sketches l did for my time in Cyprus 2012 which illustrates the obstacles that l faced while away.

Been looking back at the piece l mentioned about Ryan Gander with Adrian Searle for the Guardian in 2012, he talks about his interest in the world around him and his observation, how its interpreted within his own practice. Looking at the everyday and transferring them into installation, keeping your eyes open and your whits about you.

This is something l have tried to do with my own work and will continue to do so after life at uni.

Been looking through my notes and images when started dissertation, it’s interesting how each of the artist chosen approach their own work. Kabakov started life as an illustrator so some of his work has illustrative element, which l have included in my own work. With Nelson and Schneider they seem to approach their work placing object within the space, creating scenario than documenting with photos to get a feel for the installation, this l have also experimented with.

Found this artist on Internet called Heejung Kim, she uses video projection to demonstrate the confines of our own identity. The video’s projected on object similar to mine, showing frustration and conflict within themselves.

One film called Continuously Standing up shows a chair covered by chunks of body shape, a woman is continually standing up from the chair with the sound of breathing.
People are unaware of there own body until something changes.

Artist Ryan Gander has quoted “artist are like being a filter” Gander work is not all about being disabled he does unrelated work but his disability actually contributes to his unique way of seeing.
This is how l feel my work has progressed over my time at uni, filtering throughout all different stages of work, finding different ways to express myself in different mediums.

Well today has been a good day, spent the morning sketching and working out how to present the film in my baby walker.

afternoon was spent playing with films projected on the wheelchair front and back, the surface works well so may not change it.

still fancy suspending the wheelchair up and projecting on to it but may take some working out so may have to ask for help with this which l hate to do as l like to do it all myself.
My Independence will be the end of me am sure.

Been looking at artist who also projects in different ways.
