Up to this point in my studies, I have created art, whether it be prints, acrylic paintings onto canvas’s or sculptures. these have generally followed a theme of fear or the sense of becoming uncomfortable. I will attach some photographs of my work to this post which will help to show what i have previously created. lacking in my work has been a strong theme which has a meaning. I have created works which are out of the ordinary, which will try to make people uncomfortable and question why? I have used masks to hide faces, taking away the personality of the person and the features which we identify with and make us relate with a person. By taking this away, I have tried to create a new view of the person, it creates a feeling that something is being hidden, which is not something that generally people are comfortable with not knowing. I have also previously experimented with different types of paint, one of these types were uv paints, which would only show certain parts of the paintings when they were put under a uv light. This can change the picture instantly, giving a better understanding or changing how the peice of art is viewed drastically.

In the future I plan on creating work which will have a meaning, and the works will be related by one common theme. Currently I have a rough idea of what this will be, which is to look at beliefs, religions, myths and fairytales. I will look at the darker side of these, the writings and passages which will involve fear, torment, and anything which is used to try and prevent us from commiting certain deads, sins ect.
