Last year I focused much of my painting on traditional British values, and painted many foxes and deers as traditional British animals,I also looked at painting them in contemporary ways and created some sculptures based on deer shapes, I used a mixture of deep darker tones and contrasted with bold bright colours. I also used different mediums of oil, acrylic, stencils with spray etc, this year I intend to keep my focus on British animals however I intend to link this in with my dissertation and explore the representation of the fox and perhaps shocking responses of the viewer relative to contemporary art involving animals .
