“It doesn’t always work”, “I don’t really know what I was doing here”, “I don’t think this is very artful now”. Comments such as these have been lifesavers over the last few years. I have doubted myself so many times and have to keep reminding myself that doubting is normal, essential even.

This stuff doesn’t appear in a manual, you have to hear it from the horse’s mouth. Visiting artists lectures have been the highlight for me during the degree course, listening to ‘real’ artists making it real for me.
