A Redeye: The Photography Network, Castlefield Gallery and  Manchester Craft and Design Centre partnership brings a day of talks, discussions and workshops which aim to encourage artists, photographers and makers to draw inspiration for their personal practice from other paid and commercial work.

Includes presentations from Andrea Allen and Sam Curtis on how they ensure paid work feeds their practice creatively and practically,  Susan Jones on her research into artists’ livelihoods and Julie McCalden on the Paying Artists Campaign opportunity to network and exchange with others, and advice from support organisations including a-n.

The aim is to help artists, makers and photographers to keep sight of artistic dreams and provide new insights on the potential for mutuality between paid work and creative ambitions.

£17.50 for concessions, £20 full price. Lunch not provided so please bring your own.
