Return to Sea and Sardinia‘s Christmas Raffle!
We are pleased to invite you to enter our Christmas Raffle at our next online event held on Sunday 20th December.
We will be holding a special raffle to raise funds for our project. We have some great prizes up for grabs including original photos/artwork by Daniele, wine and cheese!
Tickets for the raffle are priced at £1 per entry and you can enter as many times as you like, so £1 gets you one entry, £5 for five entries, and so on.
And as a token of Daniele’s appreciation for your engagement and support to Return to Sea and Sardinia film and photobook, anyone donating/buying £10 worth of entries will automatically receive £20 worth of entries.
The random raffle selection will take place live during the event and the prizes up for grabs are :
First prize:
A limited edition original acrylic photography entitled Liquid. Space. Light, 2018, (40x60cm) by Daniele Marzeddu, recently on show at: Island2islandart exhibition, London & Autumn Exhibition at Candid Arts Trust, London
Second prize:
A limited edition original acrylic photography entitled Pyrification, 2019, (40x60cm) by Daniele Marzeddu
Third prize:
A limited edition original acrylic photography entitled The Truthuman, 2017, (40x40cm) by Daniele Marzeddu
Runners-up prizes include:
5 litres of Sardinian red wine; 5 litres of Sardinian white wine; a bottle of Mirto liqueur (70cl); a box of fresh Sardinian lemons; 1kg of Sardinian pecorino cheese.

THE PROJECT
When D.H. Lawrence set out to travel to Sardinia in 1921 he would not have known the cultural significance of the book that followed from his trip – Sea and Sardinia.
With the support of the D.H. Lawrence Society of Great Britain, and the expert advice offered by Nick Ceramella, vice President of the Society, Return to Sea and Sardinia will follow in the footsteps of Lawrence’s journey 100 years on from the day he set out. Capturing the journey for posterity will be photographer Daniele Marzeddu.
The journey and film
January 2021 sees the centenary of D.H. Lawrence’s documented trip that resulted in his acclaimed book, Sea and Sardinia.
Return to Sea and Sardinia will follow in the footsteps of Lawrence’s journey exactly 100 years on from the day he set out.
The centre piece of the project will be the film that records Lawrence’s retraced journey – scheduled for release at arts and cultural venues across the UK and Sardinia in April 2021.
Return to Sea and Sardinia will also curate captured material into a limited-edition photo book, featuring a commentary about the locations and scenes as they existed in Lawrence’s day and also today, 100 years on.
