Swarm is initiated by KARST & Back Lane West, produced by Field Notes and supported by Newlyn Art Gallery & The Exchange and PAC Home at Plymouth Arts Centre

Artists, curators, organisations, writers and independent producers from across the region are invited to Swarm; to socialise, network and learn from one another. Swarm will celebrate the work being done by artists and creative producers in Cornwall and Devon; offer professional advice from a range of industry experts and jump-start new collaborations that will foster and strengthen support between these wild, westerly and sometimes remote neighbouring counties.

Join Back Lane West, Keiken, Low Profile, KARST, Preston Street Union, Field Notes, Topos, Fish Factory, W.A.N.K., Medium Rare, Counter, PAC Home, Howl Projects, Newlyn Art Gallery & The Exchange, Unveil’d, Ocean Studios, Cast Café and many more

Take part in talks, surgeries, speed networking and artist interventions then as the day draws to a close, Dom Bailey of CAST Café will be providing a delicious two course dinner with drinks from The Exchange bar.

Free and open to everyone.
Dinner costs £6 and should be pre-booked on eventbrite – https://swarm2016.eventbrite.co.uk/

A small number of travel bursaries are available to help individuals or groups that would otherwise find the cost of attending the event a barrier. To apply for a bursary please email [email protected] , stating who and where you are, the cost of your travel and why you’d like to attend (no more than 300 words).

Sign up for surgeries will be on the day of the event from 13.00. We anticipate high levels of interest in the surgery sessions so please make sure you arrive early to avoid disappointment. More information on those delivering them, their expertise and areas of interest will be available in April – sign up to the facebook event or check Karst’s website for updates.
