Level: This workshop is designed for the beginner or improver.

Materials needed: All materials included.

Course description:

  • This workshop is designed for the beginner or improver. 
  • We will be using oil paint and a limited palette to make our own grey scale. 
  • From here we will then go on to paint a tonal portrait/still life using one colour, comparing tonal relationships and shapes to form and three-dimensional object on a two-dimensional surface.
  • We will look at layering of paint fat over lean and the use of using mediums.
