A total of 55 artists have been selected for the 65th anniversary exhibition of Bloomberg New Contemporaries. The artists, who have all recently graduated from UK art schools, were selected from over 1,400 submissions by a panel consisting of the artists Marvin Gaye Chetwynd, Enrico David and Goshka Macuga.

As part of a new partnership with Artquest, each participating artist will receive one-to-one professional development and peer mentoring support, which aims to help them capitalise on the opportunities the exhibition will afford them.

Kirsty Ogg, director, Bloomberg New Contemporaries, said: “This year’s selection illustrates new artists’ thinking and approaches to making work, as each cohort is surrounded by a specific cultural framework that informs their practice.”

The 2014 edition of Bloomberg New Contemporaries will take place at World Museum, Liverpool from 20 September – 26 October as part of the Liverpool Biennial programme, before moving to the ICA, London from 26 November – 25 January 2015.
