The finalists of the 2015 Griffin Art Prize have been announced as Alastair Gordon, Lewis-John Henderson, Alice Mendelowitz, James Metsoja, José Carlos Naranjo, Jack Otway, Thomas Qualmann, Katrine Roberts, Zsofia Schweger and Jaeyeon Yoo.

The prize, now in its fourth year, is open to all UK based artists who have graduated at BA level or above since and including 2010, and whose primary medium is painting or drawing. The shortlisted artists will feature in a group show, taking place from 19 November – 20 December 2015 at the Griffin Gallery, London.

Judges Emma Crichton-Miller, Jenni Lomax, Jenny Linden-Urnes and Stuart Semple will select a winner, to be announced at the exhibition private view on 19 November.

The successful artist will receive a studio at the Griffin Gallery site where they will work towards a one person exhibition at the gallery next year. The studio, which is located close to Shepherd’s Bush in west London, comes fully stocked with drawing and painting materials

In addition, the winner also receives an allowance to help meet travel and other costs as well as access to a mentoring programme with studio visits and tutorials.
