My practice explores the process of making. I investigate artistic and everyday actions asking, why do we make things, keep things, covet things? The tension between process and object underpins my creative thinking and material choice: using traditional materials in expanded ways through scale and repetition, often with reference to performance. I cite this repetition as being a way to “withdraw and explore my mental state”. I am interested in the role of the artist in society, which informs my study of “time, place and self”.
