Impacts 08: European Capital of Culture Research Programme, Author at a-n The Artists Information Company

Commissioned by Liverpool City Council, the Impacts 08 research programme examined the progress and impact of the European Capital of Culture experience on the city and its people. They developed a model for evaluating the multiple impacts of culture-led regeneration programmes that can be applied to events across the UK and internationally.

Impacts 08 was a joint research initiative of the University of Liverpool and Liverpool John Moores University, which from 2005-2010 evaluated the social, cultural, economic and environmental effects of Liverpool’s hosting the European Capital of Culture title in 2008.
