Findings included that there were 26,600 people employed in the creative industries in the West of England in 2005, in 4,900 business units; and that the creative industries accounted for 12% of all businesses and 5% of all employment in the West of England. Audio-visual (including computer software) accounted for half of all creative industry jobs and grew by 3% from 2001 to 2005.
