the sponge helped. we started at 11.30 and finished at 4.30. 11 students on the 5th floor all happyish with their degree show spaces.

still not heard.

tho i did have a missed call on my mobile from a withheld number. withheld, helpful.

meeting today so we can sort out who goes where on the 5th floor, so that should distract me for a bit. might make a jam sponge to take in. it might help.

we had our degree show space allocations allocated. hoorah hooray i got the space i asked for, plus the others on the floor make work that i admire, so thats good too.

i spent the weekend catching up with houseworkurgh, and sunday enjoying mothers day with the kids and my parents. everything felt alot calmer by sunday night, the roast and 2 glasses of cheap wine helped.

i spent most of today cobbling together an ahrc statement incase i get a place on the ma course, and i managed to fill up another hard drive with film stuff, which is not good n£ws. and i have just realised the next week should be extremely something or the other. i should hear if …i have got on the ma, got into the apt gallery exhibition, am being considered for the bloomberg new contemporaries, and its my birthday on monday.

i might have to explode.

i cant remember what ive done this week but its involved tearing around. dont know if ive actually got anywhere tho.

i had the MA interview yesterday. i felt ok before, i knew it would be tricky/challenging questions so that bit was ok – not fab, but ok – but i went a bit shaky at the end. the ahrc funding has changed from last year and there is a smaller amount of money in a pot and lots of people wanting it. funding for MA courses does not seem to be based atall on financial stuff its more about the academic side- which is ok, but not fab. so ive got to do some major finding out about funding and work out if i can actually manage money wise. i can just about do uni and 3kids, i can't see how i would fit in uni,3kids and earning. the AHRC form + 2references, has to be in by the 6th april so ive got to get started on that even tho i wont know if ive got a place till the end of march.

i had a headache yesterday and i think its coming back.

ive been feeling a bit low since the last blog. the head of dept was as cross as me and sent a v.strongly worded email to students and staff but i was still feeling like someone had kicked me in the stomach. i put up a version of the work for the post convenor and i felt slightly better to get some feed back on the work, but im still slightly miffed as i know the first version was visually stronger. move on aliceson (?)

all the rep stuff has taken over again too, dep meeting for 2andahalf hours. catalogue/finance/website teams are starting to do stuff now and we are trying to work with textiles and history of art/fine art courses too, so there is lots of communicating to be done.

kids are extra busy too, ones doing gcse s, another doing so much after school we forgot the tuba lesson on mon, another just got in to camberwell to do art foundation. im finding it hard to juggle again.

the housework is being avoided.

i did manage 30mins of filming tho.
