Its good to see that my work is still up in The Waterfront gallery, just moved into the corridor.

I have been inspired by an exhibition I have seen recently at The New Cut in Halesworth.  The artist Bob Royston has used some beautifully serene colours and has some really interesting textures in his paintings. I was lucky enough to have a Chat with him about the textures in his paintings and was surprised to hear what they were. However he swore me to secrecy and I am not one to break a promise!

The next stages of my artwork.  Its so hard to know when to stop, it could be finished at any point, but I have felt the urge to keep persevering with it. So far I have used oil paint, emulsion, oil stick, sand, enamel paint, pencil and iridescent glitter. I’m still not happy with it and think it needs a few further touches. I’m keen to have it finished so I can move on to the next canvas that i’ve made.

My new work in the studio. I have been experimenting with metalic paint and mixing colours on the canvas with oil stick in order to create depth.
