Found this artist on Internet called Heejung Kim, she uses video projection to demonstrate the confines of our own identity. The video’s projected on object similar to mine, showing frustration and conflict within themselves.

One film called Continuously Standing up shows a chair covered by chunks of body shape, a woman is continually standing up from the chair with the sound of breathing.
People are unaware of there own body until something changes.

Artist Ryan Gander has quoted “artist are like being a filter” Gander work is not all about being disabled he does unrelated work but his disability actually contributes to his unique way of seeing.
This is how l feel my work has progressed over my time at uni, filtering throughout all different stages of work, finding different ways to express myself in different mediums.

Well today has been a good day, spent the morning sketching and working out how to present the film in my baby walker.

afternoon was spent playing with films projected on the wheelchair front and back, the surface works well so may not change it.

still fancy suspending the wheelchair up and projecting on to it but may take some working out so may have to ask for help with this which l hate to do as l like to do it all myself.
My Independence will be the end of me am sure.

Been looking at artist who also projects in different ways.

Been reflecting on my degree proposal and making connections with other artist researched for my dissertation. Its interesting the way Kabakov,Nelson and Schneider use the spaces for there work. But also been looking at Cornelia Parker and Damian Ortega for idea on how to display my own work.

Artist also used to contextualize this have been Douglas Gordon, Ergin Cavusoglu, Bill Viola and Gary Hill. As these use close up images which give more impact. Ergin projects on the floor which is something l would like to explore as in his piece ‘Point of Departure’.

My degree propsal highlights difficulties l face and how l over came them, short films will be projected of myself performing everyday tasks doing buttons up to picking up small objects like pins and nails to putting on my leg which l do automatically to become able bodied .
