ELEMENTS 2023 aims to highlight abstraction as a visual language in contemporary art whilst also providing representation of abstract art amongst the global majority. The works include those produced with natural interventions such as cyanotypes with bees wax, drawing with typewriter, digitally rendered geologies and woven mixed media. The themes in the works are inspired by cultural, spiritual and environmental spaces and experiences, varying the interpretations and blurring the lines in our understanding and perception of communities, nature and the immaterial.
