Paula Lundy, 'Clifton suspention bridge', Mixed media on canvas, 2008. 60" x 48" Deep edge canvas with a large glittery silver leaf crescent moon shinning brightly in a very dark grey starry sky, surrounded by very heavily textured shinny black edges. Beneath is a brightly lit interpretation of Isambard kingdom Brunel?s ?Clifton suspension bridge? in the artists own popular unique style with a row of eerie looking houses running up to the bridge. Blacks, greys, pewters and silvers. Mixed media including many different texture pastes, silver plated chains (on bridge) silver leaf, lead, glass, acrylic, resin, plaster, ink, glitter, and different varnishes. As with all of Paula?s pieces they change in different light due to the highly metallic paints and different textures.
