New Contemporaries has announced the full list of artists taking part in the 2016 edition of its annual open submission exhibition.

This year’s selectorsAnya GallaccioAlan Kane and Haroon Mirza, have chosen 46 artists for the exhibition that showcases the work of new and recent fine art graduates.

The Bloomberg New Contemporaries show will tour the UK, beginning on 9 July 2016 when it will return to the Bluecoat in Liverpool for the first time in almost 30 years. The exhibition will form part of Liverpool Biennial 2016, which New Contemporaries has been part of since 1999. The exhibition will then tour to ICA, London, from 23 November 2016.

Reflecting on the importance of New Contemporaries, its director Kirsty Ogg said: “Counting Tacita Dean, Mona Hatoum, David Hockney and Mike Nelson, as well as more recent emerging artists Ed Atkins, Nathaniel Mellors, Haroon Mirza and Laure Prouvost, amongst our alumni, many New Contemporaries have gone on to set the agenda for visual art practice worldwide.
