CARFAC has announced the new executive director of its Ontario regional branch will be Sally Lee.

An active member of Toronto’s arts community, Lee has held positions at the Toronto International Film Festival, Soulpepper Theatre Company and Artists for Peace and Justice Canada. She is also on the Advocacy Committee of the Toronto Arts Council.

Yael Brotman, president of CARFAC, said: “Sally brings to this position a depth of experience, a glowing reputation and good humour. We, the board, are thrilled to have her join our team. Welcome, Sally!”

Lee joins CARFAC at a busy time. Last year it reached an agreement with the National Gallery of Canada and Regroupement des artistes visuels du Québec (RAAV) on terms and conditions for the exhibition and reproduction of works of art.

The 44-year-old organisation is also currently running a three-year project to develop resources and tools to support the visual, media and craft-based art sectors.
