A Set of Lines, A Stack of Paper
Drawing on the ‘original typewritten manuscript’ of Vilém Flusser’s The Gesture of Writing, this exhibition brings together artists and art writers including Maria Fusco, John Wood & Paul Harrison and Lotte Lyon in an exploration of the art and aesthetic conventions of writing.

Loading Mercury with a Pitchfork
The title of this exhibition, taken from a 1971 poem by cult author Richard Brautigan, is a starting point for a reflection on small unorthodox acts, be they alternative forms of labour or a metaphor for the role of the artist as quiet subversive.

Moments of Confluence: A River’s Song
Michéla Griffith’s series of ‘streamscapes’ are of the waterways around the Peak District’s River Dove. Over the past three years, the artist has been focusing her photographic practice on capturing the light, features and visual nuances of water to create semi-abstract photographic pieces.

Borin Van Loon Retrospective
The Freudian Sheep’s 17th century merchant’s house is the setting for this retrospective exhibition of works by the Suffolk-based illustrator, graphic artist and painter Borin Van Loon. Expect to see comics, posters and watercolours representing his humorous and surreal output over the last 45 years.
