Small is Beautiful More and Less
Taking the German economist E F Schumacher’s essay collection Small is Beautiful as a starting point to explore the importance of community, 30 artists at ASC Studios and their invited friends exhibit works in Unit 3 of ASC’s Bow studios. The exhibition coincides with a long weekend of open studios at the site.

Trip to Ashburnham Place
Eastbourne’s artist-led Blue Monkey Network organise an afternoon outing to Ashburnham Place near Battle for the launch of Felicity Truscott’s floating outdoor sculptures Revolution and Resonance. As well as boat trips to view the installation there will be making workshops, music and a barbecue around a fire pit.

Ashbourne Arts Festival – Summer Art Exhibition
Painters, printmakers and sculptors Lewis Noble, Stephen Snoddy, Anna Thomas, Graeme Reed, Mari-Ruth Oda and Miles Halpin are among the artists and makers to exhibit their work in the ballroom of Ashbourne Town Hall for the annual summer festival.

Waiting to Exhale
Site-responsive artworks at Space36 that consider how Brexit has affected a sense of home and belonging. The residential house, which doubles as an occasional gallery, invited artists from around the EU and the UK to develop the works over a period of four months. The featured artists are: Liz Brown, Liana Bortolozzo, Esperanza Gomez Carrera, Ahmed Farooqui, Mario Varas Sanchez, Constanze Schweda and Louise Scillitoe-Brown.

Oriel Canfas: Up The Workers
Gayle Rogers has transformed the former Ynyshir Library into The Workers Gallery – a community hub that includes gallery and art library – which for its latest exhibition features work by artists from the co-operative gallery and studios Oriel Canfas in Cardiff. Also an artist, Rogers is exhibiting her own work in nearby Cynon Valley Museum until 8 July.
