Georgiana Houghton, Courtauld Gallery, London
The Victorian spiritualist medium Georgiana Houghton claimed that when creating her watercolours her hand was guided by various spirits, including several Renaissance artists. She offered detailed explanations on the backs of the works, with this show featuring a number of the brightly coloured pieces, many of which have not been shown in the UK for nearly 150 years.

Mystics and Rationalists, Modern Art Oxford, Oxford
Part of the gallery’s year-long 50th anniversary celebrations, this exhibition takes as its starting point Sol LeWitt’s assertion that “conceptual artists are mystics rather than rationalists. They leap to conclusions which logic cannot reach”. It features drawing, sculpture, video and animation by artists including LeWitt, Karla Black, Daniel Buren, Dorothy Cross, Ibrahim El-Salahi, Dan Graham, Yoko Ono and Amy Sillman.

Narbi Price: Codeword, Paper, Manchester
Last chance to catch this solo show by Newcastle-based artist and a-n staff member Narbi Price. His acrylic paintings on paper are a response to the 20th anniversary of the IRA bombing of Manchester’s Corporation Street, with the title of the exhibition referencing the mysterious ‘codeword’ used in the telephoned warning prior to the explosion.
Until 25 June 2016. www.paper-gallery.co.uk
