This exhibition brings together many of Turk’s neon works, the signature pieces he made between 1995 and 2013. Dealing with issues of authorship, authenticity and identity, this is a superb survey of a pioneering British artist.

Imran Qureshi, Ikon Gallery, Birmingham
This show by Pakistani artist Imran Qureshi – Deutsche Bank’s Artist of the Year – includes miniature paintings and site-specific installations. Combining traditional motifs and techniques with current issues and the formal language of contemporary abstract painting, this collection of work is the artist’s most comprehensive exhibition to date in the UK.

Mel Brimfield and Gwyneth Herbert, Site Gallery, Sheffield
Exploring an imagined relationship between Henry Moore and Barbara Hepworth, for this show the main gallery space has been transformed into a theatrical set with costumes, props and backdrops. There is also a reproduced workstation in the style of Henry Moore’s studio at Perry Green with the structure presenting a changing display of clay models and maquettes. The exhibition concludes with a final performance on Saturday 13 December.

Berlinde De Bruyckere, Hauser & Wirth, London
This exhibition by Belgian artist Berlinde De Bruyckere features a series of new sculptures and drawings. The highlight is a group of textural hanging wall sculptures figured in wax, leather, cloth, rope, iron and epoxy resin. This is exquisite work.
