80º N, QUAD, Derby
This exhibition by Ruth Gibson & Bruno Martelli is the result of a four-year research project that centres on Arctic exploration. Their immersive approach utilises state of the art virtual reality and video game technology. In addition, QUAD are running a series of film screenings and educational activities that journey into the art of exploration.

Lee Miller’s War, Djanogly Art Gallery, Nottingham
Although best known as a model and Surrealist photographer, Lee Miller was also a photojournalist during the second world war. This show focuses on her work as the only woman in combat photojournalism in Europe, during which time she witnessed the liberation of Paris and the Russian/American link up in Torgau.

Chromosome Damage, The Drawing Room, London
This solo exhibition by Mexican artist Daniel Guzmán features 30 drawings steeped in the context of Mexican and pre-Hispanic imagery. His new series references the imagery and iconography of Aztec deities, goddesses and earth mothers.

Gretchen Bender, Tate, Liverpool
Tate showcases the work of American multimedia artist Gretchen Bender. The pioneering pieces on display include a reconstruction of Bender’s monumental 24-monitor multi-projection screen installation, Total Recall.

Manuel Chavajay & Rebecca Wilcox, CCA, Glasgow
Bringing together the work of Guatemalan artist Manuel Chavajay and Glasgow-based Rebecca Wilcox, this show presents work linked by a shared exploration of language and the notion of translation. Existing pieces sit alongside newly commissioned responses that consider questions of community in Scotland and Guatemala.
