Influenced by childhood memories and his recent travels in Asia and North Africa, Craig Murray-Orr’s new show features 30 small oil paintings on identically-sized wooden boards. Produced over the last three years, the works are almost dreamlike in their execution.

Eileen Agar, Henry Moore Institute, Leeds
This exhibition of collages and sculptures by Eileen Agar (1899-1991) explores the sculptural forms of nature. Combing shorelines for natural material for her ready-mades, Agar sought to find meaning in the seemingly random acts of the natural world. The results are astounding.

Luke Fowler and Mark Fell, The Modern Institute (Aird’s Lane), Glasgow
This film installation, To The Editor of Amateur Photography (2014) explores the legacy of Pavilion in Leeds, the UK’s first feminist photography centre. Commissioned by Hyde Park Picture House and Pavilion, it interweaves archive material with new camerawork and interviews, examining the radical shift in photography since Pavilion was founded in 1983.

Ida Ekblad, BALTIC, Gateshead
This solo exhibition by Norwegian artist Ida Ekblad features painting, sculpture and poetry. The centrepiece is a body of work originally intended as a stage set for a play by Nick Payne, the theme of which was that everything you can imagine is simultaneously occurring in multiple universes.
