Key findings are grouped under six headings: Finance; Gallery/dealer representation; Internet & social networking; Artists professional development needs; Consultation with artists. Showed that 57% of artists generate only 25% of income through their art practice. Digital and performance artists are most likely to make no income or a loss through their practice; and majority of artists have no private pension plans. 15% had gallery representation.
