having slightly gone made with the mead last night a snifter g&t has helped to level out the lunchtime sensation of the day.  the view through the window is a happy one with the large tree backed with fluffy clouds complimented by bluesky to the top.

the scene last night just prior to midnight being lit up by a massive firework that took the dog into apoplexy.  i comforted her near the dining table and listened to the revived big ben, a really unanticipated manner in which to see in the new year.

i need to record that upon reflection my mood during the last post of 2017 was affected by my experience of working through a child protection module, part of the process to becoming a mentor for young people through the charity 2020.  it did leave me feeling unsettled and this fuel by memories of past new years eves did leave me in an emotional place of vulnerability.  it’s ok though, i talked my way through it and binging with couples come dine  with me and the mead saw me lighten and enjoy the evening.

i feel optimistic about the coming months.  i have good connections with people  and organisations at the moment so i am hopeful that i can see improvements year on year that sets up a happier more productive year for me and my family.

i look forward to feeling better and getting out for a walk later.
