This installation will include live movement yet mostly creates a habitat in which to share marks on paper and fabric, images, film, print and soft sculpture, a pathway to ongoing, process- based environmental work in two very different landscapes, the southern Jurassic coast and post-industrial north.

Hawkins and Wilkinson met while both training on Helen Poynor’s Walk of Life, non-stylised and environmental movement programme in the South West and though living and working respectively in Devon and Greater Manchester Michelle says,

“For the last seven years the land and sea of the North of England and Devon/Dorset have inspired and held our work and we in turn have supported each other. It seems only natural that we should at last collaborate by bringing our relationship with the environment into the neo:gallery space in Bolton.”

Movement installations will take place during the first week of the exhibition, from 19th-22nd March.
